Timesheet - Enter, save and submit

Have causals or permanent part-time workers that need to track their hours worked? This is simple through the timesheet feature in the ESS Centre. 


Tip:

If you use ICS NetSuite payroll, approved timesheets will pull directly into your pay run - eliminating manual entry!

1. Welcome to the tutorial on how to enter, save and submit a timesheet via the ESS Centre

2. The first step is to open NetSuite and navigate to your ESS Centre role

3. Click Weekly Timesheet

4. Click the Calendar icon to change the week, if required.

5. Click into Pay Component Sub Type

6. Type Normal Time, or other pay component as required.

Other examples could be Overtime, Saturday etc. If unsure, refer to your manager for assistance.

7. Insert a memo, if required.

8. Click in the relevant day column

9. Enter hours worked

10. Repeat for each day.

11. You can see the total number of hours & minutes for the week.

12. You can Add, duplicate or remove rows as needed.

Instances where you may have several rows could be:
- Different types of work with different memos
- Different pay components e.g normal time and an overtime row

13. Throughout the week you can add hours and Save the timesheet.

This will not submit the hours entered to your approver, but hold it until you click Submit.

14. Once saved, you will see a confirmation banner.

15. To access previously saved timesheets from the home dashboard, you would click Weekly Timesheet

16. Click the Calendar icon and select the week which you have saved

17. Your saved timesheet hours will show. Amend or add hours as needed.

18. Once happy with the timesheet, click Submit to send for approval.

Once you have submitted a timesheet you will not be able to edit or change the hours. However, you can add another line for additional hours and submit.

19. Once submitted, you will see a confirmation banner saying that the timesheet has ben saved and submitted for approval.

20. The Approval Status will also update.

21. You can also see the status of your hours by clicking Show Legend.

22. That's it. You're done.
