Lightspeed - How to exchange items

Sometimes customers aren’t always completely satisfied with a purchase and may want to exchange their purchase for other product(s) within your store.

13 STEPS

1. Welcome to the tutorial on how to Exchange Items in Lightspeed

2. The first step is to open Sales history.

Step 2 image

3. Find the sale you would like to exchange and click the reverse arrow.

Step 3 image

4. Items in this sale are listed as a negative quantity and value, indicating that they will be returned.

5. Click the bin icon if there are items you don't want to return.

Step 5 image

6. Add the items your customer wants to exchange with, to the sale.

Step 6 image

7. These will be represented with a positive quantity and value.

8. Click Exchange.

9. If the value of the new items is higher and you can charge the customer the difference.

10. Click Cash if no extra charge needed to be paid. Select whichever payment method client used if there are extra charges.

11. Double check the Sale receipt summary.

12. Click Complete Sale.

13. That's it. You're done.
