Lightspeed - How to Create a Sale

Whole process in completing a sale in LightSpeed.

1. Welcome to the tutorial on how to Create A Sale in Lightspeed

Step 1 image

2. The first step is to Add an item. There are multiple ways to add an item,
the first is thru search bar. You can search the item by Name or SKU.

The second way is thru
scanning the barcode.

3. The last way to add items is thru quick keys or the grouped selection.

4. Click on the right group of the item.

Step 4 image

5. Search for the items to be added.

Step 5 image

6. If the item has a variation, a pop up box will show to select which variation you would like to add.

7. Click Add a customer. You can search the client by name, email address, contact number or by Code.

8. Click the correct client to add into sales.

9. Tick the delete icon if the client or item added is wrong.

10. To view more details of the item, simply click the item line.

11. From this view, you may edit the quantity, Price or put a specific discount and notes for this specific item.

12. If you want to change the Sales rep for this item to be sold, click the Pencil icon with the Sales rep Name.

13. And select which Sales rep you want it to be sold to.

14. You may View the Inventory details by clicking the "Show Inventory & Details" button.

15. In this view, you'll be able to see all details of the inventory specially the number of on-hand you have per outlet.

16. If you want to add discount, promo code or notes to the entire sale, simply click the correct button at the bottom of the sale.

17. On the discount button, you may select if you want the discount to be a percentage or a dollar value.

18. Click Add if you want to add the discount.

19. You may remove the tax for the whole sale by clicking the "Tax" button

20. and click delete icon to remove the tax.

21. Click Pay to proceed with the payment.

22. From this view, you'll be able to see the total sales information.

23. Type in the amount being paid.

Step 23 image

24. You'll be able to see client information below the payment options.

25. Select which payment method the client used.

Step 25 image

26. There are multiple quick amount button you can click to auto type the amount rendered.

Step 26 image

27. Or you may simply type in the amount.

28. You'll also have an option to email the receipt or not.

29. You may select which template you can use for the emailed template by clicking the highlighted selection.

30. Click Complete Sale.

Once clicked, it will auto print the receipt.

31. That's it. You're done.
