Lightspeed | Card not present - take payment over phone

To take payments over the phone in lightspeed. Process payment in Lightspeed and charge card manually using windcave terminal.


Process payment in Lightspeed, selecting Visa/mastercard or Amex payment type and charge card manually using your windcave terminal.   This will ensure that your payment flows into the Undeposited funds - lightspeed account in Xero.

Is your terminal configured to take over the phone payments? If not, please contact windcave to enable this for you. Contact details can be found here



1. New Sale: - Navigate to Sell > Sell, create a sale as per your regular workflow, then click Pay. 

   Existing Invoice (Vital invoices and other on account invoices):  Navigate to Sales History > search invoice number or customer to view sales for that customer.  Note: you must be in the 'register' in which the sale took place > 


  1. Click on the sale
  2. Click Edit
  3. Click Add another payment
  4. Select the payment type 
  5. Select a date/time for the payment
  6. Type the payment amount 
  7. Click Save Changes



Alternatively:


Click complete sale icon



2. Click Pay




3. Select amount to pay and click on  Amex or Visa/Mastercard (whichever is applicable)



4. Complete sale
