Xero Onboarding | Setup Windcave in Xero

This guide how to setup the connection between Xero and Windcave as part of your migration to the Evo Platform.


Connect Windcave to Xero

  1. Open Windcave https://www.windcave.com/ and login to portal
  2. Click User Accounts
  3. Click My user
  4. Scroll down and click "Connect to Xero"
  5. Click "Connect to Xero"
  6. Click "Select an organisation" and select your subsidiary name
  7. Click "Allow access"
  8. Click "Branding theme" (just above the red buttons)
  9. Click 'payment account' and then select 'undeposited funds - Xero'
  10. Click update (red button)


Test Windcave link on Xero Invoices


  1. Ensure Windcave payment options are set up:
    • Go to Settings > Invoice Settings > Options > Edit > Payment Services.
    • Select Windcave.
  2. Confirm Windcave payment is active
    • Go to Settings > Payment services
    • Click 'turn on' if not 'on'. 
  3. To test the Invoice template:
    • Navigate to Business > Invoices.
    • Select an invoice by clicking on a record in the Number column.
    • Click on Print PDF at the top menu to download a copy.
    • Click on the Windcave link on the invoice to test it.
