Vital | Create a contact

Are you looking to add a new contact to the Vital platform? Creating a new contact is simple and straightforward. 


Tip:

You can create a contact from three different areas, outlined below. The process and screen is the same for the contact details, however, just the creation origination is different. 

  1. Contacts Tab
  2. Within a Pool
  3. Lab Tab


Here's a brief overview of the Contacts Tab process:

  1. Log in to the platform
  2. Navigate to the Contact tab
  3. Click the 'New Contact' button
  4. Enter the Contct's details, including address and contact information
  5. Save the record

17 STEPS

1.  In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of creating a contact in the Vital Platform from the Lab Tab

2. To begin, navigate to the Lab tab and click the "New Contact" button.

3. Choose whether the client is an individual or a company

4. If the contact is a company, enter the company name.

5.  Select a category for the contact using the dropdown menu

6. Enter the contact's first and last name

7. Add a phone number by clicking on the "Add Phone Number" button

8. Use the dropdown menu to select the phone number type and provide a label if needed, then enter the phone number

9.  Click the "Save" button when finished

10. Enter the contact's email address, plus any additional CC email addresses.

11. Use the search address field to find the contact's address. Start typing the address and select from the available options.

Alternatively, you can enter the address manually into each address field.

12. Select the trading terms and the comms preference.

13. Select a water test reminder preference. This indicates how the contact would like to receive a notification that their water test is due.

14. Add any internal notes relating to the contact, plus any tags that are used in your business.

15. Click "Create Pool" to link a new pool to the contact, or search for an existing pool.

16. Click "Create" to save the contact details entered.

17. That's it! You've successfully created a new contact in the Vital Platform.
