What is a Data Snapshot?

A data snapshot captures your data at a specific point in time. This data is then migrated/transferred to the new systems.

Snapshot process for migration

  • Timing:The data snapshot will occur after 5 PM local time, two days before your go-live date.

  • Changed after Snapshot: Any changes made after this snapshot will not be captured in the migration. These changes will need to be manually entered into the new system after go-live.

This includes changes or additions made to the below:

  • Products

  • Suppliers

  • Purchase Orders

  • Bills

  • Clients

  • Assets/Pools

  • Quotes

  • Projects

  • Water tests

  • Unbilled Sales Orders

  • Gift cards

Impact on Operations:

  • No immediate impact: This process will not affect your operations or use of NetSuite until the go-live day.

  • Post-Go-Live updates: After the snapshot, any changes or additions made in NetSuite will need to be manually added to the new system once you go live. To help you track these changes, please refer to the NetSuite report links in this article.
