This article contains the process of how to retire equipment.
Computer, printer, and POS equipment
The process to retire equipment:
- Send an email to 3ICT and let them know which equipment you want to retire. Provide the machine name or serial number and let them know if there is anything you want transferred from that machine to another machine.
- 3ICT will contact you to make further arrangements. Once the transfer of data from the old to new machine is complete, that’s when you send the equipment to 3ICT to be safely destroyed. Just wiping the hard disk is not enough.
Telephone / mobile devices
The process to retire devices:
- Send an email to 3ICT and let them know which device(s) you want to retire. Provide the phone number and let them know if there is anything you want transferred from that machine to another machine.
- 3ICT will contact you to make further arrangements. Once the transfer of data from the old to new device is complete, that’s when you execute a factory reset so that you can repurpose the device or send the device to 3ICT to be safely destroyed.
Windcave
The process to cancel Windcave:
- This will happen as part of the offboarding process.
For ANZ -Water test machines
The process to retire a water test machine:
