Vital | Stored credit cards - Client self-service (workaround)

This workaround allows you to send a link to a client to enter their Credit Card securely to be added to their Vital account. There is a 15 minute expiry window for them to enter their details via this method.


1. Search for client under "Contacts" section



2. Click on "View Details" on the right for the contact



3. On the right under "Payment cards" you can choose to "Add card"



4. Once the credit card form loads copy the full URL in the address bar


5. Send the URL to the client via email

When sending make sure to the note the following:

  1. The link will expire in 15 minutes
  2. Once the card is successfully added it will display the text "Approved" along with a green tick
  3. Do not click the "next" button - the card has been stored
  4. Email you back to confirm they've added (you can then check in Vital afterwards)
