A glossary of terms for NetSuite and Vital

| Production | Production | The “Live” environment of franchise data. |
| Sandbox 1 | UAT | User Acceptance Testing environment |
| Sandbox 2 | Development | Development environment |
| NextService | Vital Field Services | Software for the service division including scheduler, job management, mobile app, and post-service completion activities. |
| Subsidiary | Organisation | The name of a Franchise or Legal Entity in the system. |
| Location | Location | Stock sites. Consignment and van sites are possible. Transfers move stock between locations. Note: Techs can sell negative stock from the mobile app, so this will have to be meticulously maintained if you choose to use vans as stock sites. |

| Employee | User | Staff login, access, and activity record |
| Role | Role | Each employee/user is given a “Role”. Assigns permission for user view or edit rights. |
| Client | Contact | Record outlining client info, such as contact and credit card details and comms preferences. |

| Estimate | Quote | Record outlining product, cost, and terms for client approval |
| Asset | Pool | Record for servicing at an address, such as pool, spa, etc |
| Project | Job | Record outlining service details like date, service type, asset, and notes. |
| Case | - | Record in NetSuite that is created for casual jobs. It is also used on regular projects as a folder to hold a weeks worth of tasks. |
