In the same way that it’s important to replace your vehicles from time to time, it’s business best practice to regularly refresh your IT hardware to avoid issues that could impact your operations and the security of your client’s data.
It’s important to note that all IT hardware and equipment should not be older than five years. This is for several reasons, including:
- The Operating Systems (eg Windows or IOS) may no longer be supported, which can lead to security issues and bugs that slow down the system.
- Newer software programs may not be developed for older hardware, causing the software to run slowly.
- The hardware may begin to experience mechanical issues that impact its reliability (e.g. shorter battery life).
Therefore, we have developed a list of requirements for all IT hardware to protect your business that can be found in the standard operating equipment list below: (all prices are in AUD and can be subject to changes as stock changes).
